Following in Nansen’s footsteps

The map above shows Nansen’s journey, you can read about it in his inspirational book Furthest North. I’m aiming for Franz Josef Land.
This is my Arctic Trip, and on this page, it begins at the end. If you want to read it the right way ’round scroll down ’til you get to no 1 or use this shortcut link.
Both trips were me fulfilling dreams I’d had for most of my life, both were amazing in totally different ways……how lucky I am! Never stop dreaming, they really do come true…..
Hi Jenny, Happy Coronation Day ! Not able to wear shorts like at the last one (see below). Thank you so much for sending the blog links, sorry not to reply earlier. I’d read your arctic journey but not Russia/Steppes. I very much share your love of Russia via Tolstoy, what a tragedy these people are being lied to & abused yet again. I often look at what “Konstantine” has to say on his “Inside Russia” youtube channel. He fled with his family last summer, and explains their situation very well. Slowly, taking many sips of tea. Thought you might like the pic of an article in the latest walling trade magazine. Am working with a shetland guy at present doing a huge stone cladding job, more like ashlar masonry, for an enormously wealthy couple. Then at the end of August am off to Italy for 3 weeks on a pilgrimage hike in the Apennines with our priest & a few parishioners. Must be reaching the SAGA age of man (LAGER/AGA/SAGA/GAGA) Ciao x Neil
